On that day the Australia India Business Council SA, and KPMG in partnership with the Government of South Australia delivered the first industry consultation session on the South Australian Government’s India Directions Discussion Paper.
The event was a great success, being attended by several high profile business leaders, Indian business leaders and stakeholders, who provided valuable input on the paper.
The State Government believes that this paper is the first step in ensuring South Australia has a strategic approach to building long-term and meaningful trade, investment, education and cultural partnerships with India.
The paper is designed to stimulate conversation and ideas on key issues and actions that will contribute to the Department for Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy’s (DMITRE) whole-of-government India Strategy. DMITRE is seeking information and ideas from those best-placed to offer it, the South Australian and Indian businesses and organisations that stand to benefit from enhanced economic, social and cultural ties.
As part of this consultation process AIBCSA will shortly be hosting an event for members, guests and local business to gain further input. After this event AIBCSA will be formally submitting input on the paper, on behalf of our members to the South Australian Government.
