LAUNCH OF AUSTRALIA INDIA ENGAGEMENT STRATEGYadded:01/11/12
Today the Minister for Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy, The Hon. Tom Koutsantonis, launched the ‘South Australia India Engagement Strategy’ at the University of Adelaide.
The Australia India Business Council (AIBC) endorses and supports the government with the release of this strategy. The strategy focuses on the first phase of a ten year plan that identifies opportunities in four key industry sectors.
A South Australia India Council is to be established, led by Brian Hayes QC who will be responsible for embedding high quality engagement with India across government and a range of stakeholders. This body will be responsible for the evaluation of progress by agencies against the strategy.
A series of workshops will be delivered over the next few months to engage industry and enable a partnership with government to work together provide entry points into the market.
The AIBC plays a key role as an advocate for its members and as a facilitator of information. As a business, we encourage you to consider an Indian engagement strategy.
